TQEEPAC is the political arm of Tennesseans for Quality Early Education (TQEE). We support state legislators who stand up for policies and investments that promote high quality early education birth through third grade.
Our policy priorities include increasing access to high quality, affordable child care, investing in early grades teachers, expanding high quality PreK, and supporting parent engagement through evidence based home visiting programs. A full description of our policy priorities may be found in the “Policy Blueprint” on TQEE’s website.
Every two years, all member of the Tennessee House of Representatives and half of the Senate stand for re-election. TQEEPAC supports both incumbents and new candidates for office who have distinguished themselves as champions for our state’s youngest learners. Learn more about candidates we’re endorsing for the August 6 primaries.
TQEE is a bipartisan coalition of Tennesseans dedicated to ensuring our children get the quality early education they need to power our state’s future. Our coalition includes leaders from business, law enforcement, faith, education and civic organizations, locally elected and appointed officials, parents and grandparents, teachers and caregivers from across our great state. We believe that building a strong early education foundation, birth through 3rd grade, is the key to academic achievement, workforce success and economic prosperity.
As a legal matter, Tennesseans for Quality Early Education (TQEE) is a combined effort of two related non-profit, bipartisan organizations – TQEE and TQEE-Policy & Research — plus a third entity, the bipartisan TQEEPAC.
TQEE-Policy & Research is a nonprofit organized under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It conducts research and policy analysis, raises public awareness, builds coalitions and educates Tennesseans about smart and effective policies and programs that improve early childhood development and education outcomes.
TQEE is organized under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. It engages in grassroots and direct advocacy with policymakers to support crucial legislation at the state level.
TQEEPAC is a political action committee organized in accordance with U.S. and Tennessee law. It is the political arm of TQEE and helps elect state legislators who demonstrate a commitment to our early education policy policies.
